Does the retreat stay include food? |
No, you will be responsible for all of your own food. Our town does have many eating establishments as well!
Can I check in after 5 PM? |
Yes, but please give us a call between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM so we can get you the door code for entry.
What is the bedroom setup? |
We have two twin beds and two free standing closets in each room.
Do you have a full size stove? |
No, we do not have full-size stove in the retreat center. We do have a convection microwave instead of an oven, as well as a hot plate with two burners.
Why are there no windows in the retreat center? |
Unfortunately, we did not have the adequate easement on our property to put windows in the retreat center. Because we have no windows, we were required to put in a fire sprinkler system into the entire building to ensure the safety of our guests in the unlikely event of a fire. The lack of windows also makes it that much easier to get lost in your crafting without the worry of what time of day it is! We also get very little outdoor noise with the lack of windows. And you can always wander up into the store between 10-5 to gaze out the very large store windows!
Do you supply linens? |
Yes, we do supply bed linens and towels during your stay.
Can we book just one night? |
No (Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are currently booking Friday/Saturday nights stay with the option of adding Thursday night as well as Wednesday night with your weekend stay.)
Can we drink alcohol in the retreat center? |
Yes, you can bring and consume your own alcohol. However, we do ask that you drink in moderation and be considerate of others around you as to not disturb the guests staying with you. Guests that fail to follow the guidelines of alcohol consumption may be asked to leave and forfeit their stay money. They may also be banned from returning to Scrapbooking in the Pines in the future. There are hotels in the area for a night out on the town, please look into those if that’s your intent. Your fellow retreaters will thank you.
What is the minimum age for staying at the retreat center? |
Our minimum age is 16 to stay at the retreat
Where do we park? Can we park on the street? |
We strongly suggest you park in the parking lot located outside of the retreat entrance. Scrapbooking in the Pines and The Pine City Scrapbooking Co are not responsible for tickets or tow away for cars incorrectly parked. We will always do our best to make sure you are parked in designated areas.
Do we have to bring everything through the store to get to the retreat? |
No, we have a separate entrance for our retreat center located behind the Pioneer building next door. We do have a door between Scrapbooking in the Pines and The Pine City Scrapbooking Co. that is open between the hours of 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM each day.

Can I have a room alone while staying with others? |
We do ask that all groups double up on rooms, no exceptions to this. If you would like to have a room to yourself, you will need to pay for both beds.
Can I have more than one table? |
When making a reservation, you are reserving one bed and one table. If you would like more than that, you will need to pay for another reservation.
Can I reserve a certain room in the retreat center? |
No, we currently are running on a first come, first serve basis. The exception to this: needing a handicap accessible room or a deaf/hard of hearing room (soon to be equipped with light up smoke detectors).
Can we smoke at The Scrapbooking in the Pines? |
We are a smoke-free facility and this includes E-cigs. Guests must go outside to smoke; we do have an ash urn outside the retreat entrance to dispose of your waste.
