We have been working super hard fulfilling orders. I've never worked in order pulling, shipping or curbside delivery. Thank you for your patience while we are learning. I have learned our inventory is not correct, funny we just spent 3 days in January counting everything! Ugh! I have also found out having the store arranged by theme isn't as easy when you are an order picker instead of a shopper! I've learned that we really need to find a cheaper outlet for boxes, packing material and shipping. Ouch it really adds up quick! But I have to say it is an interesting change of pace from our typical retail job, and I don't dislike it as much as I thought I was going to. Pulling orders has been great therapy for me. I feel productive and it gives me time away from home and the kids!
Thank you so much for your online orders! I am so thankful that there will be money to pay bills tomorrow! I have been patiently waiting for property tax to be deferred but I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that won't happen. So we will cinch up our belts and write that check.
When the crisis hit I paused all of our orders. I have been slowly releasing them now that we are seeing a bit of income from the website. I didn't want to take on more debt without the money to pay it off. I believe we will be seeing the new and reorder product arrive the end of next week. I'm hoping to do a live video show and tell style. Lucky you, you'll also get to see my new look. Grey roots and another 15 lbs, lol!
Make sure you check out our new Pre-Order page. We have several lines that that will be shipping to us soon, we wanted to give our customers the chance of being the first to get it when we receive it. Customer response has been great. We have several tables in the classroom set up with staged orders for the product when it arrives. We will be very busy, once we have it in store, getting it shipped out to you. It is not too late to get your order in.
So with all of that said, here is what I'm working on this week.
I hope to be adding more card sample ideas to the online store with clickable links to the products used. I actually scrapbooked a page and hope to maybe add a couple samples of those as well.
We should be getting an order with a bunch of reorder of adhesive and some other staples at the store.
Curbside delivery by appointment. We live about 20 minutes from the store, and we aren't there set hours. I would rather set up an appointment than be late or miss you. Both of which I have done and that is just unacceptable! So if you would like to place an order for pick up, no problem. There are directions on how to set up an appointment when you order.
I'm super excited to be getting a banner on the billboard about our online store too. It will be a reminder to our current customers and maybe we will snag a few new ones along the way.
Life is uncertain right now for all of us. What I do know is that the sun will come up tomorrow. I do know that we will work our hardest to keep our little Mom & Pop store on the map. Thank you all for your continued support. None of this would be possible without you. Stay well my friends!
